The Lego Movie (2014) Storyline

Taco Tuesday is Here!

In the world of Lego where people like to create amazing stuffs with Lego bricks, one of the most talented master builders Lord Business thinks that creating stuffs without a plan is a disaster and tries to take over the world with his rules so that everyone can follow the same set of rules and don't create weird stuffs. Lord business while in his conquest to create his own empire faces the wizard Vitruvius who gets defeated by lord business and in the conquest lord business lays his hands on one of the rarest of relics called the kragle which make anything permanent and is a major threat to free thinking master builders who oppose his rules. Although defeated Vitruvius prophesied about a “special” who will be greatest of master builders and will defeat the evil lord business and end the evil tyrant rule of lord business, But very they will know that the prophecy was made up and even worse when the special they think will the person who will lead them to victory is nothing special leading to chaos among the master builders as evil lord business is all ready to take over the Lego world with the  help of kragle on Taco tuesday.

Emmet the extraordinarily normal special comes in contact with the Bad Cop and Wyldstyle

Meanwhile Emmet a slightly too much normal and rules following ordinary lego figure who has a boring life but always follows the rules as he lives in the kingdom created by lord Business under the name President business who manages the entire empire and makes great music, TV shows, surveillance systems, books and voting machines most of all the gives the rules and guidelines to the Lego citizens comes in contact with one of the master builders called Wyldstyle who was looking for the relic that was mentioned in the prophecy so she could become the special, but unfortunately  a series of events make Emmet the special who has absolutely no ideas and always follows the rules. Meanwhile Emmet is detained by the Bad Cop who apparently has a good cop side as well who works for the evil lord business and are about to melt away Emmet to eliminate the piece of resistance but thanks to Wyldstyle’s mind blowing master building skills they both escape from lord business’s trap. Meanwhile Wyldstyle and Vitruvius confirm the fact that Emmet is special and call in for the gathering of all Master builders wherein everyone is disappointed by the fact that Emmet has no ideas at all and in fact he’s not even a master builder, rising concern among the master builders. 

The Safe house of master builders attacked by the army of Lord Business

But the worse part comes in when the bad cop who apparently has got his good cop face wiped off, attacks the master builders safe house all because of a tracker they attached to Emmet. A rigorous battle between the machine army of lord business and Master builders is fought, and almost all of them are either killed or arrested by Bad cop. But somehow with the help of Batman, the boyfriend of Wyldsytyle everyone escapes but the major help in surviving the attack comes in from Emmet whose only idea helped them escape. Meanwhile Vitruvius is killed in the battle but somehow before leaving reveals the truth to Emmet that he made up the prophecy, but the truth is he can defeat lord business if he believes in himself. Emmet starts to regroup the concerned Master builders and comes up with an unexpected plan of following the rules which Master builders hate the most, but he emphasizes the fact that when they follow together a plan they can always create something greater than their own abilities, so this way everyone start off their plan to stop lord business who apparently is planning on taking over the whole Lego world with his Taco Tuesday plan.

Emmet finally geared up with fellow master builders to take on the evil tyranny of lord business

Meanwhile Emmet is thrown into abyss by lord business in their fight to stop him, but something unexpected happens. Emmet reaches the human world where he sees two characters just like him and lord business apparently father and son where in Father likes to keep everything nice and organized and his son likes play around using his creativity with the Lego figures and bricks. But somehow the Father realizes his son’s creativity and finally leaves away his bad guy side and starts playing with his son. While simultaneously Emmet opens up to lord business that he is the most talented guy in the whole Lego world and need not be evil to force his things on to others. Hearing which lord business has a change of heart and deactivates the kragle using Emmet’s relic apparently the cap of kragle glue. Thereby unleashing peace and creativity among the master builders and lord business. And Emmet ends up with Wyldstyle and Batman goes back on his working alone path. But just when they were at peace a new enemy has arrived to destroy the Lego world! So what’s next maybe a Lego Movie 2? ☻
