Hot Fuzz (2007) Storyline

Big Cops, Small Town Moderate Violence

Hot Fuzz is a movie about a cop who is super competitive and is so serious about his job that his records as a cop are way off the charts. He has mastered every detective skill, physical combats and sports and even topped his batch with distinction. He’s simply like hot fuzz who can never get himself to turn off the cop mind he has developed ever since his childhood. Being a super cop makes other cops look bad before him and even the bad guys hate him so much as their moves of getting a crime done undetected are foiled by the super cop. So the chief superintendent decides to transfer him even promoting him as a sergeant but transferred to a post in a small countryside town where usually there are no crime reports and crime rate is simply too low. Although Sergeant Nicholas Angel wanted to stick along in London but his fellow sergeants won’t allow or oppose his transfer to the Country. Sad Nicholas moves to the small town in the countryside hoping to find some crime and action and what he finds out might just surprise you.

Sergeant Nicholas on his very first night, just the night he reached went on an arresting spree seeing teenagers breaking law by drinking under the restricted age and even a guy who almost killed him. Next morning he is surprised to see all his detentions gone and. What surprises him the most is that the person who almost killed him while being drunk was a police officer. The Whole town instead of fearing Sergeant Angel starts greeting him and soon Sergeant finds himself doing awkward jobs like catching swans for farmers (Peter Ian Staker read as piss taker :D), hunters , teaching students moral and dealing with annoying press guys who print his name wrong. While Sergeant Angel is dealing with weird people, he finds a sidekick who is impressed by his cop style and soon start hanging out with each other. 

The Black cloaked reaper who kills people and makes it look like an accident from Hot Fuzz

Things start to become interesting as the village starts preparing for the annual village competitions and a series of events starts to reveal the real conspiracy going on in the town. Sergeant Angel happens to issue a ticket to a director for speeding along with his leading lady. The very next day both of them are found dead in a car accident, to everyone it seems like a car accident but Sergeant Angel was quick to detect foul play. Later that week there was another accident killing one if the richest guys in the village and also happened to blow up his huge mansion. Next accident happens when the press guy trying to reveal a major breakthrough behind the accidents to Sergeant Angel is killed at the church gathering which again is assumed to be an accident. While Sergeant Angel is losing his mind trying to convince his fellow police officers that those deaths are not accidents but murders. Meanwhile he comes to know about his partner’s birthday and goes to the flower shop to get a pair of garden lilies for him where he comes to know about the whole conspiracy behind the murders from the owner of the horticulture shop. Apparently just when Sergeant Angel was to have a major breakthrough the lady is killed just before his own eyes by a black cloaked ripper, Sergeant Angel tries to catch the culprit but fails due to extreme sprinting display by the killer.

Sergeant Nicholas Angel unleashes the Hot Fuzz single handedly changing the whole game

While Sergeant Angel is able to tell everyone about the events and the major conspiracy about the village people being cheated by someone who actually knows the true value of the land, and anyone who tries to sell their land is killed or sometimes even those people who try to bring a social change from their behavior or open up the land price facts. Sergeant Angel finally catches up with the group of black cloaked guys only to get surprised by the fact that it wasn't a single person but a group of evil community members who were carefully conspirating against him, even the head of the police department was one among them. The major shock comes in when Sergeant Angel finds himself in a life threatening situation threatened by his very own partner in fact the whole village was brainwashed by these evil people, but Sergeant Angel survives thanks to his partner who actually was only following orders and when it came to friendship he chose friendship and while others are thinking that Sergeant Angel is dead, his partner asks him to leave as the town was a bad place for him. But Sergeant Angel who has an extreme sense of Justice returns back, bringing all the members of the evil gang down all by himself and along with a little help from his partner and even manages to bring the brainwashed cops back to their sense of Justice as they bring down the bad boys who although made it look like the crime rate was too low for the small town but the number of accidents were comparably higher. So altogether Sergeant Angel an exceptional police officer finds a true bonding in terms of friendship and sense of justice. Movie is filled with thrilling turns, English humor and lots of action to make it a great hot movie to watch.
