Valentina the Young Humpback Whale Thanked Her Rescuers with a Splashy Thank You Dance
Hurray I am Free - Valentina the Humpback Whale ♥
On the Eve of Valentines day a Young Humpback Whale heavily entangled and trapped in gill nets was freed by a couple of bystanders including the co-founder of Great Whale Conservancy, Michael Fishbach who happens to enjoy his winters every year in the sea of cortez, photographing and studying various whales. Surely the Young Humpback whale would have died has not been rescued by Fishback and his family but not to forget the amazing whale was freed after a lot of hardship and was rewarded as well by the great creature through a splashy whale thank you dance as she enjoyed her freedom in oceans with a delightful joy to be able to meet her family once again. Most of all the she whale was named Valentina as she was rescued on Valentines day symbolizing the efforts of the people in restoring love for the creatures of the sea. The rescue of Valentina began something like this.
It was fine Valentine's day morning of 2011 and Michael Fishbach and his family and crew were enjoying the great ocean view in the sea of cortez, when they encountered a surfaced whale in the waters. They thought it was dead as they could hardly see any movement when suddenly the young humpback whale fearing danger exhaled forcefully making it clear that something was wrong with her. Mr Fishbach jumped into water to access the situation knowing the dangers of the frightened creature. Mr Fishbach made an eye contact with the great whale just making a signal that they are here to rescue her. Mr Fishbach saw the whale heavily entangled in gillnets installed by local fishermen's.
Michael took a brave decision to check out on the Humpback Whale all by himself
Whale's fins were heavily entangled under 15 feets of water and was a daunting task to free her all by themselves so they called for help on the radio which said would arrive by an hour which was simply too long and by that time it might be too late for the whale. Michael and his crew decided to help the whale all by themselves till the help arrived. They somehow were able to pull the net out from the waters and started cutting it with a small available knife in order to free the whale. After tiring struggle they were able to free one of the fins of the young whale which got the whale excited as she sensed a hope of freedom and sailed for half a mile before resurfacing again. In short she took the crew with her for a ride. After further more struggle Michael and his crew were able to cut the entire gill net and finally freed the young whale. Everyone on board celebrated the freedom of the young whale and name her Valentina.
Magnificent Moments of Valentina after Getting Freed
Valentina was so happy on getting rescued by Michael and his crew that she resurfaced after travelling 500 feets from the boat and entertained her rescuers with her thank you dance which included dozens of thrilling full-body breeches and tail flips which came out of full joy of freedom and as a note of thank you. Michael and his crew celebrated the remarkable moment with joy as the great creature of the sea lives to tell its tale to her fellow whales as to how she got freed from the fish nets and rescued by mighty sailors. Surely Michael and his crew will be so proud of saving the great whale and will never forget those moments of joy as they help rescue this magnificent creature of the sea.
