- Place toothpicks around the cake layer from where you wish to cut the cake layers. Now take a long non flavored dental floss and wrap it around the boundary created by toothpicks. Use slight knife impressions around the boundary created by toothpicks to embed the floss into it.
- Now cross the ends of floss and use slow tro and fro motion with your hands while holding the floss ends to start the cutting action. At the end you will end up with two cut cake layers. Shift the top cut cake layer using a cardboard or baking sheet in a sliding manner. Congrats you now have two perfectly cut cake layers and that to made without using a serrated knife.
